SEE MY STORY HERE
Testing the Microphone Ep (STUPID SONG FROM THE BATHROOM_EP) should be my the first Ep/Album project, where I stepped out of the shadows to document my reality.
For years, I was a ‘bathroom performing artist,’ a creator in hiding. I was caught in a tug-of-war between a traditional career path and the rhythmic pull of Afrobeats that flow from within on auto pilot. This internal conflict was rooted in Parental Misguidance (motivated by love) the well-meaning pressure to play it safe that ultimately delayed my manifestation.
The EP chronicles that journey: the mental toggle between being a corporate professional and a closeted creative. It is the raw documentation of my evolution from the bathroom to the studio, Till the Afro925™ movement was birthed This is the sound of a dreamer finally taking his shot.”
I have walked through the fire of untold struggle, delays, and systemic limitations. These experiences forged my soul to loathe oppression in all its forms especially when it flows from the very government sworn to protect its citizens.
The ultimate irony of my journey reached its peak on October 20, 2020. While the nation cried out to end police brutality during the #ENDSARS protests, I was actively serving that same government under the NYSC scheme right there in Kauru Kaduna. Standing at that crossroads of duty and conscience, I chose solidarity.
I funneled that disgust and pain into my first-ever studio project: ‘Olopa.’ More than just a song, it was a commemoration of our collective struggle and a defiant stand against the forces that seek to bury the voices of the people. It was my first ‘shot’ at using my craft to document history.” Written on on October 20, 2020, and released on October 29, 2022
EP Narrative: The Pulse of Resilience
“Olopa” – The Foundation of Conscience
The project, “Olopa” is a commemorative tribute to the Nigerian youth who stood at the Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, 2020. Armed only with the national flag and a demand for good governance, they were met with an unthinkable escalation of violence that paralyzed the nation and stained the government’s global standing. “Olopa” is more than a song; it is a steadfast call to action, urging us to keep the memory alive. It serves as a reminder to those in power that true authority resides with the people. It is a warning that power, when mismanaged, eventually becomes the architect of its own downfall.
Shifting the narrative, “#Wotowoto” is a high-energy display of confidence. It is a celebratory track that serves as a vocal flex, leaning into a bold, unapologetic expression of personal sexual stamina and charisma. It represents the “After-Hours” energy of a man who knows his sexual worth.
This track is a declaration of musical authority. “#Dancewithme” is a testament to my ability to engineer sound that is undeniable. It is a confident promise: no matter the setting, the vibration of my music is powerful enough to move anyone, anywhere. This body of work is a testament to the Afro925er™ standard: when i drop a track, it isn’t just a release; it is a star-hit.
Expanding the narrative beyond Nigeria, the title track serves as a cross-cultural bridge, speaking directly to 12 African nations. It is a masterclass in sonic versatility, weaving together multiple traditional and modern dance themes into a single, irresistible invitation. From the boardroom to the streets of Accra, Nairobi, and Johannesburg, ‘Dance With Me’ is a global summons for every nation to join the rhythm. It proves that my creative vision has no borders.
